Are they really THAT similar??? I know that I'd take sex any day over masturbation! The intimacy and oneness of intercourse is pretty much unmatchable, IMO. Certainly not by masturbation!
I am also skeptical that if one masturbates when they are single they will be unable to control themselves when they are married. I know in my own experience, the difference between waiting months and waiting hours (or even days!) is FAR different. Saying that someone needs to
repress every sexual urge they have before they get married seems to me to be far more detrimental to allowing them sexual release. I'd say in Christian circles women who won't allow themselves to really be uninhibited in the bedroom abound at least as frequently as men who are unable to control their need to masturbate. Neither is a good thing -- the question we need to tackle is how do we change attitudes about sex, not how do we stop people from having sex before they're married, solo or otherwise.In Him,
